HOUSTON WE HAVE ARRIVE!!!

Hitting the road AGAIN!!!
But we had something to look forward to, it was the last 12hrs of the trip and they we would HOME. Well at least what will be our HOME for the next 6 moths.
We Mom was so axious for us to arrive, I think the time went really slow for her.
EAST 10 SAN ANTONIO.

Shortly before we arrived in San Antonio, TX we passed this store.
Bass Pro Shop-Outdoo World, this store was HUGE
Following the TEXAS MOTTO: Texas does it BIGGER & BETTER!!!

Texas Flag waving high and proud.

Driving into DOWNTOWN San Antonio Home of the Alamo Dome!!!

EAST 10 to Houston, TX

LONE STAR STATE- LOUD & PROUD.

Beautiful little passage. It was so green it was NATURE at its BEST.
We made it HOME a few hours later. Not bad 24hrs of driving and we were still SANE, we were all happy to be out of the car and just glad the trip was OVER!!!

Halfway to Houston Texas.

So the day sadly arrived and we hit the road.
We ended up leaving Brentwood CA and drving down to Riverside CA.
It normally takes us about 6hrs, not this time. It took us a little longer, but for a good reason. Jeff was in-town and we wanted to get a chance to see him as he lives in Cordova CANADA.
Jeff is Jareds best friend and was his best man on our wedding day.
So we stopped in Newhall, CA and had lunch/dinner with them at El Torrito. It was nice to get out of the car for a little while. Good food to.
We were gonna head directly to Temecula, CA but by the time we reached Riverside, CA it was late the kids were tired and needed rest. Besides Bill, my brother-in-law has the BEST Sofa Bed in the WORLD!!! Its true. It was so nice of them to allow us to stay there and spend a little bit of time with them and girls before we hit the road again.
The following day we headed for Temecula, CA. There I met up with my cousins to spend a little time with them and pick up my uncle who was gonna help drive my second car. I got a chance to go out and eat some good SoCal food.
The following day we hit the road to TEXAS. We got up at 4AM. I figure that this would help as the kids normally get up at 9AM and that would give the five hours to sleep and make the trip easier on them and us.
So a few hours later we arrived in Arizona.

Jared and Daddy at the State Line.

Mommy and Jared at the State Line.

Eva..... just walking up and a little cranky. LOL!

Thats right we made it to TEXAS. Well one end of TEXAS atleast. We still had a little ways to go to arrive at our first STOP, El Paso Texas. We thought it was a little ways and it turned out to be the longest 100miles.

Where is Eva you might ask??? Sleeping in the car AGAIN!!!

We finally made it to El Paso, Texas and had every intention of speding the night at the Embassy Suites and we really enjoy the service there and they usually have really nice hotels. Well when we arrive to El Paso that was not the case so we had to began looking for another hotel that could accomodate all of us and be nice for the kids to relax in .

We settled on staying at the Hilton. Really nice and new.

The even better part was they made a horrible mistake in overcharging us not by a little but by $500.00.... YES you read correctly. After discovering such charges I went down to the Lobby and voice my complain to the MANAGER on duty. It took about 24hrs to get my money back but the room that would normally cost $200.00 was now costing me a wopping $76.00. Not to shabby if you ask me.

Two queen beds.

Nice little seating are which turn into another very comfortable queen bed.

Little kitchen area that included a microwave and on the opposite side of the kitchen was a little desk area with Free WI-FI connection.

Yup we had a really nice and big flat plannel. On the left was a really nice vanity area and closet which you can't really see in this pciture.

We ended up going out to eat down the street from the hotel and coming back to take the kids swimming. At the end of the day the kids were happy, tired and ready for bed.

We hit the road the next morning at 4AM to be the morning traffic as our hotel was located in DOWNTOWN El Paso and about 2 miles from the AIRPORT.

Last Swim at The Lopez Residence

So... Loretta, my sister-in-law wanted to get a chance to spend a day with us before we left. So she arrange that we come over to her parents house in Discovery Bay, CA to swim. Loretta know that Eva loves the water and her parents enjoy having the kids over.
So we spent a very nice day out in the son and the pool. We had some really good Burgers, Hot Dogs, 7Layer Been Dip, Chips and Soda. We all got a lot of sun and were nice and tired at the end of the day.
It was really nice to get a chance to spend with them before taking off.

Aunt Loretta & Eva. Did I mention Aunt Loretta is Prego...5months, can't even tell. ;-)

Daddy gettin ready to toss Eva.

Our Little Tank, Jared enjoying the water and playing with a cup.
At the beginning he only wanted to stay on the steps..... by the end of the day he was all over the pool and yes he had a life jacket.

Jared and Eva waiting for Tank to hand them the buckets.
Overall it was great spending time with The Lopez Family.

Jared's Last Day with Contra Costa Sheriffs Department

After nine years of being a faithful and hard working member Jared put in his resgination notice to embarque on a new adventure.

So it took us a while but we finally made the decision to move to Texas.
Whats in TEXAS you ask???

Well we have family here. The whole point was that we move here finish school and obtain a more solid life.... meaning the economy and workforce is way better here than it is in CALIFORNIA.

So.... We said GOOD-BYE to our peaceful life and moved.

So.... the days were fast approaching and I began realizing that although I knew I would be retuning to California for visit I also knew that things would not be the same and that I was leaving behind people who went from co-worker to friends to family.
That night although we share many laughs and a really good meal I also shed tears.
Nick.... for the times you watched out for me at the PD for the many memories we built as friends and as family. BE SAFE and when all else fails remember we are here.
Love ya brother!!!!!

Last but not least and our newest LEO Family Member
Dansy..... At your young age you have given Jared lots of support and encouragement to continue in his path to becoming an officer..... I thank you for that and the few chances we had to create new memories and new laughs. All the best to you and Casey.
Jeromy...... what can I say you have been there since the beginning. There is no word to express the gratitude and love that both Jared and I have for your friendship and support. My HONEY at Training

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY OFFICE OF THE SHERIFF

Not just a CAREER but a FAMILY too!

As you all know Jared share a really big devotion for LAW ENFORCEMENT.... and I am grateful for that.

So recently Jared completed the Level II Reserves with the Sheriff Office. He was the top of his class throughout the whole time. I AM SO PROUD OF HIM! Here are some of the HIGH RISK VEHICLE STOPS Training he did while in the program. He had so much fun doing it.

Happy Birthday Jonathan

Jared and I have been blessed to have great friends in our lives.

Obviously as friends we have tons in common including the child factor. Nick & Kim have been wonderful friends for a while now.... we both (couples) love to go out together and have fun, spend time with the family and more importantly we share and great love and support for the LAW ENFORCEMENT CAREER & FAMILY. Like us Nick & Kim have two children.... except Nick & Kim have 2 handsome boys Alexander & Jonathan.

This year we celebrated Jonathans Birthday at a Ranch in Brentwood Ca. My children had a blast and it was a beautiful "blast from the past" remembrance of Jared childhood years. For those of you that know or don't know Jared had a great opportunity to learn about raising farm animals & vegetation while growing up in Riverside. At moments I would look at Jared showing Baby Jared how to comb the hair on a horse and get all sentimental about it.... hehehe Those are the gift & blessing life gives me that make me love my husband even more than I can explain.

I took so many photos.... the only way I could post them on here without taking so much space was creating a SLIDE.... enjoy!
